Glorious green thrives in the midst of the rocks of the Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA.

Down in this Southwest landscape, not a lot of greenery grows, and there is little to see among the rocks. But this one, lone tree is determined to grow and set forth its greenery, drawing the eye of passers by and inviting them to step closer and join it in its incredible view.

On the Edge is an encouragement and a reminder to us that, though we sometimes feel very alone and isolated in what we are doing, our sheer determination to be where we are and bloom there is not unseen nor unnoticed. The tree in On the Edge is one of the few and far between, and for that reason, its greenery and its shape stand out and call out.

In the midst of a forest, the individual tree is rarely noticed because it fits in so well with the rest of the group. And while there are times that it is positive to be part of a group – because a number of people, working together without egos or greed...

I am a fine art painter who creates representational images celebrating light, life, and color.
